Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Although Friendly Furniture selects the manufacturers and products it offers with care, manufacturers' warranties vary considerably and are generally for a much shorter duration than customers need.*

When you are the original purchaser of merchandise from Friendly Furniture Galleries, you receive the following four warranties that go far beyond almost any factory warranty:

1. A lifetime warranty against structural defects. This warranty begins upon the conclusion of the manufacturer's warranty and extends through the useable lifetime of the product.

2. A 5-year warranty for all items with moving parts against defects in mechanisms. This warranty begins upon the conclusion of the manufacturer's warranty and extends through five years from the delivery date.

3. A 2-year warranty against defects in upholstered fabrics. Friendly Furniture warrants fabric on all upholstered items against defects in workmanship and materials, including unusual wear and seam slippage.

This warranty begins upon the conclusion of the manufacturer's warranty and extends through two years from date of delivery.

NOTE: Pilling and/or fuzzing may occur with upholstered fabrics as excess fibers wear off. Neither is considered a defect. If you shave off the pills or fuzz with a razor or lint shaver, this condition will cease once all excess fibers have worn off.

4. A 2-year warranty on the padding for all upholstered items against defects in workmanship and materials, including loss of resiliency. This warranty begins upon the conclusion of the manufacturer's warranty and extends through two years from date of delivery.

NOTE: Softening is considered a normal consequence of the use of foam and padding and is not a defect.

None of the above warranties covers abuse, improper use, improper cleaning or failure to provide normal maintenance.

* In the event of a claim under a manufacturer's warranty, Friendly Furniture will work with the manufacturer to correct any defect. After expiration of the manufacturer's warranty, Friendly Furniture Galleries' responsibility is limited to supplying and installing replacement of defective parts and is further limited by the availability of any replacement parts from the manufacturer.

Why should I take advantage of your in-home design service?
You don't want furniture that is the wrong size or color for your room, that makes your room over-furnished or under-furnished, or that is not properly designed for your individual home. However, thousands of people make those mistakes and more every day.

At times, these common mistakes end up costing shoppers more money, to say nothing of the inconvenience of returning and re-selecting furniture that is a better fit for their room size, colors, textures and budget.

Friendly Furniture offers complementary design consultation to all our customers both in-store and in-home to work with your ideas, your needs, your tastes and your home to help you plan the right room or home.

Do you offer financing plans?
Friendly Furniture provides generous credit terms. Alternately, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are welcome, as are cash, personal checks and debit cards.

What is your low-price guarantee?
Our policy is not to be undersold. If, within 30 days from your purchase, you find the identical furniture item advertised within 75 miles of our store in print for less than your invoiced price, bring in that advertisement and we will meet or beat that price.

This Low Price Guarantee does not apply to clearance, floor models, vendor rollbacks/rebates, special purchases, promotional items, discontinued merchandise, free items or services or finance offers.

Merchandise offered for sale on the Internet or other auction sites is also excluded.

What is your Iron-Clad, Risk-Free Guarantee?
If you're not 100% satisfied with your Friendly Furniture Galleries purchase within 45 days, we'll make it right.

NO QUESTIONS ASKED. It's just that simple.

How can I keep my furniture looking new?
Proper care is essential to protecting your furniture investment.

Upholstered items should be vacuumed regularly--weekly in high use rooms (just like your carpets). Cushions and pillows should be fluffed weekly; some down and other soft cushions may need fluffed even more often.

Leather should be dusted and wiped regularly with a damp cloth. As differently-cured leathers require different treatment, use only a leather cleaner recommended by the manufacturer for that leather.

Mattresses should be rotated quarterly; pillow-top and plush may need rotation every six weeks. During the first 6 months, mattresses need rotation every two weeks. Box springs should be rotated annually.

Wood items need regular dusting; avoid applying furniture polish as excess polish can build up and damage the finish.

Periodic cleaning extends the life and appearance of all your furniture, but cleaning and care products should be tested first on a non-visible area. Please check with your Sales Consultant, Designer or Friendly Furniture Galleries' service department if you have questions on care.

Food and other household items can ruin many upholstered items. Ask us about applying products that protect leather or fabric against permanent stains and certain other damages. See your Sales Consultant for pricing and warranty protection details.

How can I tell when I need a new mattress?
Generally, if you've owned your mattress for 10 years or more, it's time for a new mattress. Other signs that tell you a new mattress is needed include:

Morning aches and pains.
You and your partner "roll together" in bed.
The edges of your mattress are no longer supportive.
Your mattress and box spring make noise when you move.

What's the difference between innerspring and foam mattresses?
Innerspring mattresses feature tempered steel coils in a variety of configurations. Layers of upholstery provide insulation and cushioning between your body and the springs.

Instead of coils, foam core mattresses use either latex or visco-elastic memory foam cores as the support system.

Does a mattress have to be firm to be supportive?
You may be confusing firmness with "feel." With today's modern innerspring mattress, support comes from the innerspring. The comfort layers determine the surface "feel."

For example, Serta prides itself on providing durable innerspring systems to deliver the proper spinal support, regardless of the "feel."

What are the advantages of a single-sided mattress?
No flipping needed! Rotating your mattress will redistribute the comfort layers to maximize wear.

How do I fit a large or king-size mattress through a narrow space?
Friendly Furniture Galleries recommends you use our professional delivery service to avoid problems of this nature. Do not under any circumstance bend a mattress or box spring to fit it through a narrow space.

King-size mattresses are sold with "split" box springs, making it easier to move the box springs through a narrow space.

What's a typical warranty?
Warranties and their length vary by models. Unlimited warranties can be available for 10-20 years, depending upon the model. Higher warranty periods exist but these are often limited warranties. Check with your Sales Consultant to fully understand what is warrantied and how to make a warranty claim.

Is it really important to not remove the "Do not remove" tag?
Contrary to popular belief, it's not illegal to remove this tag, but the information on the label will serve as a means of identification should you have a warranty claim.
